Exercise activities that I enjoy as a mamma:
1) Rollerblading while baby is in stroller
This a great activity. Your baby will think it's super fun and it is good exercise.
2) Bike-riding with baby on back
Also fun. This is better when your baby is a little older
3) Walking
Probably
my favorite. I love to push the stroller and walk for hours. It is
preferable to pick a destination such as the grocery store, a park or
downtown, rather than just walking in circles.
4) Dancing
How much fun is it to hold your baby in your arms and groove to your favorite music. Or when she is older, watching her bounce on her own to the beat.
Activities that I enjoyed before I was a mamma:
1) Running
I like to run before and at the beginning of my pregnancy, but later on it becomes uncomfortable for obvious reasons. (Belly bowling ball?). I also tried to pick it up after the birth but found running exhausting and had trouble sticking to a routine.
2) Swimming
I swear by this. When I was pregnant the first time I swam every single day. It made me a fit mamma-to-be and does wonders for the psyche. I would swim more, but it's hard when you have a curious toddler to look after!
